Project Overview
A bright white Shaker kitchen with tailored storage and a furniture-inspired maple islandThis Danby Street kitchen was designed to make a compact footprint feel bright, organized and carefully finished. Frameless overlay cabinetry keeps the layout clean and efficient, while paint-grade maple exteriors and two-piece MDF Shaker doors create a timeless architectural character. Benjamin Moore Simply White gives the cabinetry a warm, crisp finish, complemented by matte-black square pulls and stainless-steel appliances.
Storage was planned around daily use, with a full-height pantry incorporating two pull-outs, generous drawer banks, adjustable shelving and a sink tip-out tray. At the centre of the room, the island combines the warmth of a food-grade-oiled hard maple countertop with designer X-end panels, applied back panels and substantial corner posts. Bellagio quartz provides a durable perimeter work surface, while a three-piece crown, flush light valance and chamfered base trim carry the cabinetry neatly to the ceiling and complete the room with a cohesive custom-millwork finish.

Construction: Frameless overlay cabinetry with flush finished panels and fillers.
Cabinetry: Paint-grade maple exteriors with 5/8" prefinished birch veneer-core interiors.
Door style: Two-piece MDF Shaker doors and drawer fronts with 2 1/4" rails and stiles, flat panels and square edges.
Finish: Benjamin Moore Simply White OC-17.
Countertops: 1 1/4" Bellagio quartz on the perimeter and a 1 1/2" edge-grain hard maple island top with a food-grade oil finish.
Mouldings: Six-inch three-piece crown, 2 1/8" two-piece flush light valance and four-inch chamfered base trim.
Hardware: Berenson Contemporary Advantage One matte-black pulls, Blumotion hinges and Blum Movento soft-close drawer slides.
Features: Pantry pull-outs, sink tip-out tray and a custom island with designer X-end panels.
