Planning a custom cabinetry project comes with plenty of questions. We’ve gathered some of the most common ones to help you understand the FehrCo process, from design and materials to timelines, installation and finishing.

A fair question. Your final cost will depend on box material, door style, finishing system, hardware package and whether you want to install yourself or wish FehrCo to do that for you. Once I get those answers, I can present you with a comprehensive estimate. Initial estimates are subject to change until designs are finalized, and once finalized, a final price is provided. A very rough linear-foot price can range from $600 to $1000, depending on the options you choose (not including countertops).

Durability is key for FehrCo cabinetry. With your renderings, I will supply options for core materials (5/8–3/4 melamine vs. plywood), drawer boxes, hinges and slides. At FehrCo, we use construction methods that match your needs and design goals. Whether you prefer frameless full-overlay cabinetry or face-frame inset, our team has the experience and craftsmanship to deliver the style you’re after. Using a combination of dowel joinery and blind dado construction, we build cabinets that are strong, precise, and made to last.

You won't have to worry about chipping or staining with a FehrCo finish. Your cabinets will be finished with durable, smooth, and consistent coatings. I will offer recommendations for cleaning to maintain your finish. At FehrCo, we select the finish that best matches your needs and budget. We understand that not everyone requires the highest-end finish on the market, and we’re committed to offering options that balance performance and value. Our finish options range from Conversion Varnish(our entry-level product) to Acrylic and Polyurethane (our premium upgrades). Each option provides reliable durability, with Acrylic and Polyurethane offering enhanced protection and longevity.
