Book a Consultation
Custom cabinetry is more than choosing finishes and hardware - it’s about planning early, designing intentionally, and building it right the first time.
Whether you’re starting a new build or planning a renovation, the process begins with a conversation.
At FehrCo, we prioritize clear communication, thoughtful design, and proper planning to ensure your cabinetry is delivered on time and built to last.
Below is an overview of what you can expect when working with us.
New build process
-
Initial Contact
The builder, designer, or homeowner reaches out to discuss the project scope — which rooms require cabinetry, the extent of millwork, and the anticipated installation timeline. -
Plans & Inspiration
After our initial conversation, we’ll request architectural drawings or blueprints along with inspiration photos and your cabinetry wish list.
With this information, we provide a preliminary budgetary quote. -
Budget Approval & Deposit
Once the budget is approved, a 40% deposit secures your project and reserves space in our production schedule. -
Design Phase
With deposit received, we move into detailed design and 3D renderings.
This is where layouts are refined, storage solutions are developed, and every detail is aligned with your vision.
Ideally, this phase takes place before ground is broken so cabinetry layouts are finalized early in the build process. -
Site Measure & Final Quote
During framing or rough-in, we visit the site to take precise measurements.
Once measurements are confirmed and designs are finalized, a final quote is issued.
Waiting until framing is complete to begin cabinetry planning often creates unnecessary pressure on timelines. Early involvement ensures proper design time and smooth scheduling.
RENOVATION PROCESS
-
Initial Contact
We begin with a conversation about the renovation scope, cabinetry needs, and expected timeline.
-
Site Visit & Measure
We meet onsite to measure the space and review your vision, inspiration, and wish list.
-
Budgetary Quote
Based on the visit and scope, we provide a preliminary budgetary quote.
-
Budget Approval & Deposit
40% deposit secures your project and moves us into the design phase.
-
Design & Renderings
We refine layouts, storage solutions, and finishes through detailed renderings and revisions until everything is finalized.
Ideally, this process happens before demolition begins. -
Post-Demo Measure & Final Quote
After demolition and new framing are complete, we return to confirm measurements. Once finalized, we issue the final quote and move into production.
As with new builds, early planning ensures the best results and avoids rushed decisions.
Timelines
Manufacturing typically requires 4–6 weeks depending on project size.
This production timeline begins after all design decisions are finalized.
For the smoothest experience, projects should ideally be booked approximately 3 months in advance. This allows adequate time for design development, revisions, and reserving production space.
The earlier FehrCo is involved, the more collaborative and seamless the process becomes - ensuring everyone, from homeowner to builder, is aligned and working toward the same goal.
